Charlie was given away by his previous owner for being too nice. His last owner was a sixteen-year-old who only got Charlie to be a status dog. When Charlie was not what he expected, he planned on bringing him to a shelter and Maaria would not allow that so she drove 200 miles to get him.
In the UK where Maaria lives, pit bull type dogs are banned. They are imposing this strict breed-specific law that is too harsh but needed to be followed. Maaria noticed that Charlie has a unique red nose so she had him DNA-tested and it turned out that Charlie was a staffie cross rottweiler which is not considered a pitbull in the UK. This was good news.
A piece of better news is Charlie is such a sweetheart. He loves animals of all sizes and shape but has a sweet spot for cats, especially his best friend, Darwin. They would always be seen snuggling together. The two would even be sleeping together.
Unfortunately, the worst thing happened where Darwin passed away. Charlie knew that something terrible had happened yet he is still happy because of his foster siblings. They have a lot of foster kittens, and Charlie is very good with them.
The little ones know how to cheer him up and be grateful for it. He may have lost his best friend, but he is surrounded by love. Charlie’s mom knows what he has been through, understands the past that he endured, and she is very proud of how far Charlie has come.
He is a strong dog to overcome what he has, and in spite of it all, he is still as friendly and as loving as ever. He is a fantastic dog. His mom considers herself lucky to have him.
