It was an emotional day for Daniel Sturridge, ex-Liverpool Striker, when he came back to his Los Angeles home realizing that he’s become a victim of a break-in. While it was an upsetting incident, what made Sturridge feel really bad was that his beloved Pomeranian named Lucci was also stolen.
Sturridge took a video of the aftermath of the alleged burglary and posted it on Instagram. The clip showed what appeared to be broken glass, which the thieves must have smashed for them to enter the house. However, what’s even more notable was the emotional Sturridge.
Struggling to keep himself together, Sturridge told his followers about the incident. He made an offer to whoever knew who the burglar was, saying he wanted to know what happened and why they took his pup. He appealed for them to return his dog in exchange for as much as £30,000.
Aside from that, Sturridge also provided his home address where his beloved Lucci should be returned. He said he’s going to move out in a day or two, so he didn’t mind telling people where he lived. He further added that he didn’t care about the place; all he cared about was his dog’s safe return.
Because Sturridge’s house had CCTV, the entire incident was captured on camera. Three men entered his place, which happened a couple of hours before Sturridge came back home. Aside from his dog, the burglars also took four bags with them.
Luckily, a couple of days later, Sturridge woke up to a piece of good news. Lucci was returned to him, thanks to someone who tipped him off about the pup’s whereabouts. Sturridge made another video, which he also posted on Instagram, to confirm the dog’s safe return. He also sent his sincere gratitude to everyone involved for him to get fur baby back.
