It is amazing to see pilots fly to different parts of the country to rescue animals. Jon and Brad did not expect to be in the position that they are in either. They started helping an animal by accident and did not look back.
There was a dog that their friend got and asked them to help named Monte. They transported Monte and the feeling that they felt was so good, and they realized that there is more that they could do. When they know that animals are in danger, they drop everything, fly to wherever those animals are and rescue them.
They usually get these animals from overcrowded shelters. These shelters have no fundings, and it is cheaper to euthanize the animals than to feed them and get them proper medical care. One can go to their website and give as many details as they can about the rescue.
The duo will evaluate the mission, and when everything checks out, and they know that they can make a difference, it’s off they go. These two are always ready to fly no matter what the weather. It’s one of the risks that they agreed to take to help.
They have rescued over a thousand dogs, and they have rescued other animals too. One of the best things that they love is when people are waiting for animals to adopt. Sometimes, their rescue becomes a reunion too.
They once had a dog who was lost for over a year and a half, and through their mission, they were able to unite that dog to his mother who has been waiting all along. Moments like this is what makes their flight worth it.
If they could inspire people to adopt and help lower the number of animals being euthanized, then they are satisfied.
