Mathilda Swan’s head was three times the size of her body. She was a tiny dog with a big head. She was also very malnourished as her ribs, and her hips were showing.
Mathilda was only about thirteen ounces, which makes him very light for his age. People were not sure how long he has or if he was going to survive the night in his condition, so her family made sure that every day was the best day for her. Mathilda was just too sickly and her condition as critical.
Every day that she gets to live is a day that the family celebrates. Mathilda has also made a lot of progress. After two to three weeks, she was able to stand and walk on her own. The family thought that it was an excellent time to introduce her to the big dogs which deemed to be very helpful as she has learned a lot from them.
She especially learned a lot from Roo, who became her mentor. Roo took her under his wing and taught her how to be a dog and enjoy being who she is. Every day, Mathilda became bolder and puffier. She has turned out to be one tough English Bulldog as she has survived all the trials that came her way.
Now, she is returning the favor to her new baby sister, Twinkle, who has special needs. Twinkle has hydrocephalus but does not let her condition hinder her. She even loves to wrestle with her big sister. These siblings are tough.
What makes these dogs even stronger is the fact that their families are there for them and love them so much. Their families allow them to be themselves and teach them to embrace who they are. These dogs are lucky to be a part of such a family who respects and supports each other.
